ASOS requires all Tier 1, Tier 4 and applicable Tier 3 facilities (e.g. laundries) to complete the Higg Facility Environment Module (FEM) annually, by April of each year. Suppliers and subcontractors are responsible for ensuring all associated Tier 1-4 facilities comply.
Tier 1 factories producing small volumes for ASOS may use the Higg Facility Data Module (FDM), a cut-down version of the FEM, completed quarterly.
Strategic Tier 1 factories producing large volumes (currently defined as over 250K units annually) for ASOS should have their FEM verified by an approved third party.
When completing the FEM all facilities must complete as a minimum:
- Site information and permitting.
Energy, EMS, waste and water to achieve Level 2 (baseline measurement, target setting and reporting).
ASOS requires all core Tier 4 mills and wet processors to complete the Higg FEM annually. The cut off to define core will be a minimum volume of fabric supplied to ASOS factories, to be advised by ASOS annually. We require Suppliers to engage with their core Tier 4 mills, wet processors and laundries to achieve this
ASOS-specific targets:
- Use of renewable electricity, in whole or in part, by 2027.
Phase out of on-site use of coal by 2028.
Energy level 2 (target setting) achieved on the Higg FEM.

FAQ
1. Which Facility Plan should I purchase to meet the requirements?
You should receive a tailored communication from both ASOS and Worldly notifying you about which plan to purchase. But you can access information about each plan’s contents here.
2. If I already have a Higg account, do I need to register for a new Worldly account?
No, there is no need to create a new account. Your existing Higg account (Higg ID & login) is still valid and can be used to access the newly branded Worldly portal. As long as you still have an active subscription to Higg Index tools, you will be able to access those tools on Worldly.
4. I haven't completed my 2024 module yet, do I need to buy anything new?
The final deadline for completing and posting your FEM 2024 is December 31st 2025. You will need to post your FEM 2024 and then buy a new subscription for the latest 2025 assessments.
5. How do I share my modules with ASOS?
Accept the module share requests sent by ASOS.
If you do not see a pending share request from ASOS in your modules page, under Share Requests, you should click the Share Module button and initiate the module share with ASOS.
